Join the 2 week sugar ban challenge....

Hi everyone,

With all the controversy surrounding the death of student Eloise Pary who took an overdose of DNP - the fact that LotusLite has been awarded with a certification of Doctor Trusted has come at a very key time.
I am disgusted that the law states that DNP can be sold as a slimming pill - as long as the purchaser sees a disclaimer which states it is not fit for human consumption.
We have been reviewed by a panel of doctors who are satisfied that LotusLite is safe to use, that our policies are ethical and our brand is Trustworthy.

 Trusted doctor

Last month I set the members a 30 day plank challenge. It was hardcore. Some couldn't get past 30 seconds whilst I stuck at 1.5 minutes. I have got to give a special mention to member Ian, who managed to do the whole 5 minutes on day 30. Wow!!!
Well I asked him to video himself so we could all enjoy watching him in pain!!!
I have to say I could not look at the screen at certain times - it was making me feel really anxious as in know how painful it is.

Massive well done Ian and thanks a million for the lush healthy, fruity, banana cake too.

So now one challenge is over we are moving onto the next.
I am challenging the group to give up (or at least dramatically cut down) on their sugar intake.
I am hoping this will give everyone a weight loss boost making us one step closer to our #lotussummerbod

The Low Sugar LotusLite 2 week challenge.

1) No sweets, cakes, biscuits or chocolate. Even Belvita have 13g of sugar per serving!! If you need a choc fix have a low cal hot chocolate, or you can buy sugar free ice cream like this Wheyhey ice cream available from Ocado.

2) No fizzy drinks. Have the occasional diet version or try unsweetened fruit juice with fizzy water as a healthier alternative. Plain Water is best - at least 1.5 litres per day.

3) Beware sweetened cereals - avoid anything like Frosties, Crunchy nut cornflakes and Co-Co pops. Opt for for wholegrain options like shredded wheat, no added sugar muesli or even better still have a high protein breakfast like an omelette.

4) NO WHITE BREAD. Bread should be limited to one slice per day and should contain as little sugar as possible. Keep in mind ingredients are listed by weight, so the further down sugar is listed on the ingredients list the less it will contain.
If you want to speed up your weight loss you also need to use in moderation all WHITE related starches so white potatoes, white rice or white flower which will all send your blood sugar levels soaring.

5) No TAKE Always Whatsoever - Full STOP.

6) No ready made meals - inc low fat Weight Watchers meals. No ready made sauces for pasta/curry etc. Some ready meals contain more sugar than ice-cream. If you must, ensure you follow the 3-5g or less per 100g rule.

This label shows a very high sugar content 30.7g per 100g means it is over 30% sugar content.

7) No canned foods - canned foods are full of hidden sugars - in a tin of heinz tomato soup for example it contains 5 teaspoons of sugar. A big fan of beans?? We are too. Swap to the lower sugar variety. Did you know that a can of heinz bean has nearly 20 grammes of sugar in them!!

8) No sugar in teas or coffees - if you must sweeten with sweeteners then be sure to use a plant based sweetener like Truvia.

9) Avoid sugar laden sauces like tomato ketchup, BBQ sauce and mayonnaise - either cut them out all together or switch to low sugar versions.

10) Veg is a better choice than fruit. Think - munch on carrot sticks rather than chunks of pineapple.

10) Alcohol is not banned but try to stick to heart healthy red wine or lower calorie spirits and if you can limit it to 14 units per week then do so.

11) Possibly the most important point of all - take your Skinny Pills twice daily preferably just after breakfast and lunch. This should keep that sweet tooth firmly at bay.

So what can i eat

No major food groups are off-limits.
Fruits and vegetables: You can eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
Grains: Whole-grain bread and pasta, brown rice, and oatmeal are allowed.
Protein: You can eat low-fat dairy like milk, cheese, and yogurt; eggs; nuts; fish and shellfish; and many lean meats, including beef, chicken and pork.

So who is joining our 2 week challenge?
We start on Tues 5th May. If you want to be part of the LotusLite Support Group then click here.
Have a great bank holiday weekend and whatever you do - do it with LOVE! x

This week, being a role model to my children...

I was so saddened to read about the death of student Eloise Parry from taking DNP.

Tragically DNP takes a 5th life in the UK. There have been over 60 deaths worldwide caused by DNP or Dinitrophenol which is readily available over the Internet. It can be bought and sold legally as a fertiliser!!! As long as the company states it is not fit for human consumption!!

I just can't believe that companies are getting away with selling this sort of the thing over the internet so easily. They market it as a weight loss tool and then at the checkout get you to read a disclaimer.

DNP is pure hell - body temperature can spike as high as 108 degrees. It raises metabolism to such a point if you take enough of it your body will fry from the inside.
It is reported that Eloise Parry was bulimic which would perhaps explain why she was taking DNP. Her poor poor parents. I have sons myself and do everything in my power to ensure they lead a happy healthy life with a positive approach to food and exercise but you just never know what path life is going to take them.
We urge the government to make DNP a class C drug.
Our sympathies go out to student Eloise Parry's family.

LOTUSLITE is 100% safe and natural and made in a GMP certified UK facility by one of the most experienced teams in the supplement industry.

My personal trainer is setting us a challenge called Frockathon.

She's looking for 10 people to give them the opportunity to transform their body in the next 12 weeks ready for Summer and to get back into that dress through exercise and hard work.
I've got to admit I LONG to be one of these people that love exercise. I honestly think people like my Personal Trainer who look forward to doing events such as the marathon are weird!!! (Sorry Jo you know i'm only kidding). Don't get me wrong - I completely admire them and am pretty envious of them, but I personally just don't enjoy exercise!!

However, after having said all that of course I do exercise - like I said previously I want to be a positive influence on my children and if they see mummy popping off to the gym or getting her roller skates on that can only be a good thing. However I don't do enough to have the body I would really like.
She has asked us to take a picture of an item of clothing you longed to get in to or used to be able to wear but no longer feel comfortable in it.

Mine is a white jumpsuit I ordered over a year and a half ago. I have the same jumpsuit in coral and Purple and LOVE it so just bought the white one thinking I would love this too. But dear me, it is a very different story on - white is a difficult colour at the best of times but in this particular style and fabric it is not very forgiving.
So Jo if you can make me feel comfortable in this, I will love you forever.

I am also going on my jolly's in August (only 13 weeks away - YIKES!!) so need to be getting bikini ready too!

There is a lot of talk about plus size models recently - particularly the gorgeous Tess Holiday who has well over a million social media fans. I watched a programme about plus size fashion with speakers being interviewed saying there is still very little choice if you are over a size 16. Jamelia has been slated recently for saying that clothing over (or under!) a certain size should be banned from being sold in high street stores as it advocating being unhealthy.

My thoughts on overweight people are this - If, as an adult you choose to be overweight and are happy with that then that is entirely your choice - good on you for having your cake, eating it and enjoying it. In many ways it is better than sweating the small stuff - god only knows the guilt I've felt over the years for having enjoyed one to many slices of cake which is silly - cause it's everything in moderation.

However, if as a parent you are very overweight and think that it is OK to be this way then I feel that's different story. Sending out the message that it is OK to eat poorly and make unhealthy food choices to our children is wrong.
Our children are like little sponges - their developing brains take things in at such a pace they see and hear everything we are doing.

Having said that (and this is probably the industry that I am in) I don't often meet overweight people that LIKE being overweight - in fact majority of people I speak with are desperate to lose weight but for whatever reason they are struggling to perhaps because of emotional reasons.

One of the reasons I love my job so much is seeing the joy on people’s faces as the pounds disappear week by week and watching their confidence grow. Seeing my clients all of a sudden posting selfies on Facebook or a comparison Then/Now shot makes my job all worthwhile.

I just wanted to mention our client Shelly Shand who through her own hard work and determination (and a little help from our friendly skinnypills Lotuslite) has managed to lose 1.5 stone so far in a short space of time. Shelly has been eating extremely well and stepping up the exercise tenfold (another benefit of LotusLite as it gives you the energy to move more).

Well done Shelly - we love you!

Being a good role model to our kids all of the time is hard work - and I am far from that - I try my best but often go to bed feeling disappointed with myself. I came across this little beauty on Facebook yesterday - it did make me chuckle - nobodies perfect eh!

Whatever you do this week do it with love. xx

Follow our founder Sally's weight loss journey......Week 6

Hi all,

I've been away from the office these last couple of weeks as it’s the kids holidays.
I love and loath the kids holidays. I LOVE the idea of them, but often in reality I spend my days being a referee between my squabbling kids!
Mostly though it’s been fun and we have had a couple of trips away with friends and family which have been such a hoot.

As someone that does not drink in the week normally - during the kids holidays I always drink more (it's thirsty work being a referee!!) - Subsequently I have gained a few pounds so I am back on the Skinny Pills with a vengeance this week.

I have decided to also give the 'dairy free' diet a crack. With much controversy surrounding the subject if it’s good for you or a load of old tosh I though I'd try it for 21 days and see. Obviously many people have no choice and have a genuine allergy or intolerance to dairy but I must admit it was hearing Khole Kardashian on the latest episode of KUWTK who said she had lost 13 pounds by switching to a diary free diet that made me sit up and listen! I'm sad I know!

So no chocolate for me - although I've got to admit when I take LotusLite it COMPLETELY curbs my sweet tooth cravings so that part should be a doodle.

 LotusLite

There are LOADS of dairy free alternatives out there on first glance so I can't see it being too difficult. After all cutting out cheese and chocolate can only be a positive thing right?
I'm gonna make sure I eat plenty of other sources of calcium such as leafy green vegetables and nuts (oh and oddly enough tinned fish like sardines!)

New formula....

 Amazon

We are still so incredibly please with the reviews coming through thick and fast from our client’s who are trying our product.

I'm excited to announce that we have a lovely new colon cleanse and detox pill which is due out soon it is perfect to sit along side. These are designed specifically for a deep cellular & digestive cleanse of the colon, liver and intestines, which takes place over 30 days. Watch this space.

Hi everyone,

Last night I took part in the En Vouge Fashion show in aid of the Pink Ladies charity in Southwell, where our head office is based. If was such a fantastic night as always, and the S/S 2015 collection went down a storm. Most importantly lots of money was raised for the Pink Ladies who help support local women who have had or do have breast cancer.

High Maintenance

I don’t know if any of you have heard of the vampire facelift (PRP Therapy) but myself and a couple of friends decided to take the plunge.

Made popular by Kim Kardashian, the technique involves collecting a sample of your own blood from your arm and separating its components through a centrifugation process in order produce a 'Platelet Rich Plasma' which is then injected into your face!!!

Expected benefits are an increase of skin elasticity with smoothing of fine wrinkles amongst others. Its a sort of a natural alternative to botox and fillers.

My face did puff up a bit afterwards as you can see from the pic but it soon calmed down plus I trust Dr.Vlock Lipoplastyinternational.com implicitly which is a big help.

Perhaps I'm having a midlife crisis I dunno but I’m actually really pleased with the results so far although it take a couple of months or so to see the real benefits so watch this space.

On it!

Im back at the gym - yeh!!!
Im having a personal training session each week with a friend of mine Jo.
We have become quite close over recent months - Jo knows everything about me and I mean EVERYTHING. I guess its the nature of the beast in that line of business.
What I love about Jo is that she pushes me but we always have a laugh at the same time - usually about my inconstancy or some crazy ass whale like move I'm doing but she really makes working out fun.

See you tonight Jo! Jobyjo Fitness

Our new Skinny Pills have literally just landed into HQ and we are buzzing (quite literally).

We are so happy with this formula and know it is the best to date.

Formulated by one of the most experienced teams in the supplement industry we feel we are in very safe hands.

I have 100 friends trialling the product for us.

I created this product for people like me. Those that can fluctuate in weight so easily, perhaps emotional eaters who and may just need a helping hand to get back on track.

What I hope these Skinny Pills are gonna do is stop the snacking between meals and give you the energy to motivate you into moving more.

Eating 3 balanced meals a day and a couple of healthy snacks is what we are aiming for and exercising 3 times a week. Sometimes with our stressful lives it’s easier said than done. This new formulation is #willpowerinapill

It’s my best friend and colleagues birthday next week. She is going away for her birthday so we are celebrating by having a curry round at a friends house on Saturday.

We where just saying it will be nice to kick back and chill for a change after all the celebrations of late.

We have pre ordered the food and I have made the best food choice a curry house has to offer.

I always have poppadoms for starters and some lower cal dips like cucumber raita and for main ill have a dry chicken tandoori or a chicken jalfrezi which is also not too bad and ill either ask for a blain boiled rice or have a bit of vegetable biryani.

Although I love naan bread I avoid it when I can and sometimes ask for my dish to be cooked ghee-free which basically means they don’t use butter to cook it with. No one has ever refused and it taste just as delicious.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish Jess our operations director a very very happy birthday. We all love you lots and lots.
