Are you drinking yourself fat?

Over the festive period almost everyone puts weight on......in fact.....the average person puts on half a stone!  OMG!  Now, this is partially to do with the amount of food that you eat, but also the amount we drink!

If you are trying really hard with the food side and eating healthy options but are drinking lots of alcohol then the chances are that you will not lose any weight.  The drink is as bad, if not worse that food!

Booze Vs Food

A large glass of red wine has the same amount of calories as a doughnut!

A Pina Colada cocktail contains 450 calories - this is the same as your average cheeseburger!

Having a G&T is the equivalent as having a Dairy Milk Caramel bar!!

One alcopop contains the same amount of calories as a whole slice of pizza!

So, some tips for the festive season - try to have a glass of water in between drinks - this will reduce the amount of calories you are having through alcohol.  Spirits are the better option with a low calorie mixer as they have quite a low sugar content.  The worse offenders are the wine and the lager!  Try to steer clear of these if possible!

Enjoy your festive period and don't drink and eat too much!  Then, if all else fails, you still have the LotusLite to fall back on!
